LaTeX Install Kit "texinst.exe", Ver.2.1 (Free software)
------------------------------------------------------------------------

                          1. Outline

This is a full automatic installer of recent LaTeX environment with 
related softwares:  LaTeX compiler, printer device driver and some
softwares to generate PS files and PDF files. 

The list of softwares installed by "texinst.exe" :

  - pTeX 3.1.2 (TeX 3.141592, Web2C 7.5.2)
  - pLaTeX2e <04/09/2001>+0 (LaTeX2e <01/06/2001> patch level 0)
  - dvipsk 5.92b + jpatch-p1.6
  - dvipdfm 0.13.2c-j-p1d
  - dviout 3.16
  - GNU Ghostscript 7.07


                          2. Install

1. Execute texinst.exe.
   (This installer will create the folder c:\temp.)

2. After several minutes, the Ghostscript installer will start.
   Check [All Users] and click [install].

3. After the install program finished, append the following value to 
   the environment variable PATH:

     c:\usr\local\bin;c:\gs\gs7.07\bin;c:\gs\gs7.07\lib;c:\dviout

4. Delete the temporary files in the folder c:\temp.


                      3. Some Related Softwares

The following softwares are not included in "texinst.exe". 

1. To view and print PDF files:

 - Adobe Reader
   This software is to display and print PDF files.
   For the installation, you should double-click the downloaded file from
   http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
   and follow the instructions by the installer.
   * If Adobe Reader(or Acrobat Reader) is already installed on your computer, 
   it is not necessary to re-install it.

2. To view and print PS files:

 - GSview 4.6
   This software is to display and print PostScript files.
   First you should download the gsv46w32.exe file from
   ftp://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/ghost/ghostgum/gsv46w32.exe
   and double-click it. Then follow the instructions by the installer to install 
   the software.
   * For japanese language support, set `-dWINKANJI' in 
   [Options] -> [Advanced Configure...] -> [Ghostscript Options]. 


                      4. Comments to InftyEditor Users

To the users of InftyEditor (http://www.inftyproject.org/download) :

1. "texinst.exe" includes all the necessary softwares to use LaTeX functions 
    in InftyEditor.
2. In case you do not make use of LaTeX related functions in InftyEditor,
   it is not necessary to install this package.
