InftyCDB-1 (A Ground Truthed Database of Words/Formulae Imagses, First Distribution, 18/3/2005)
We released a ground-truthed image database, called InftyCDB-1, of words and mathematical expressions taken from math articles. The ground-truth of each character is composed of type, font, quality (touched/broken) and link (relative position), etc.
The database includes all the characters and symbols of 476 pages of 30 articles on mathematics, and is organized so that it can be used as word image database or as mathematical formula image database. The total number of the characters and symbols included in the databasse is 688,570, and about a quarter of them are in math expressions.
InftyCDB-1 is a public database that is freely usable for research and development purposes.
Condition: Freely usable for research purpose, including system development and evaluation.
To get the database, please go to the user registration page. An e-mail will be sent automatically to the address you register. In the e-mail, you will find a temporary URL to download the database InftyCDB-1.
